Web Development
Full-stack web development for small businesses, startups, and professional firms — custom sites and apps built for Northern Virginia and DC metro clients.
What I Build
I've worked across the full range of web technologies — from simple business sites to production web applications. I've seen what lasts and what doesn't. That perspective is what I bring to every project.
My work spans:
Business websites — professional sites for consultants, professional services firms, contractors, and local businesses that need to show up in search, convert visitors, and represent the business accurately.
Web applications — custom software built for the web: client portals, internal tools, workflow automation, SaaS products. If a spreadsheet or off-the-shelf tool is no longer cutting it, there's likely a web application that solves your problem better.
Platform migrations — moving sites off legacy platforms that have become a liability. WordPress that breaks with every update. Concrete5 sites that nobody can edit. Squarespace sites that have hit the platform's ceiling. I migrate to whatever makes sense: Webflow for marketing sites, Next.js for applications.
Site redesigns — modernizing the look, structure, and performance of a site that's embarrassing to hand out a business card with.
How I Work
I work directly with clients — there's no account manager between you and the person actually building your site. You'll know what's being built, why, and what it costs before any work begins.
My typical process:
- Initial conversation — you tell me what you have, what you need, and what's not working. I ask questions. No sales pitch.
- Proposal — a clear document describing what I'll build, the technology I'll use, the timeline, and the cost. Fixed-price for defined-scope work; hourly for open-ended engagements.
- Build — regular check-ins and previews so there are no surprises at the end.
- Launch — I handle deployment, DNS, performance verification, and analytics setup.
- After launch — I'm available for ongoing support, additions, and changes.
The Technology I Use
I match the technology to the project:
- Webflow — for marketing sites, portfolios, and informational sites where the client needs editorial control without touching code
- Next.js + React — for web applications, sites with complex data requirements, and projects where performance and SEO are paramount
- WordPress — for clients who need a mature CMS ecosystem or are already running WordPress and need development work done within it
All my projects include: Google Analytics 4, structured data (schema.org), sitemap and robots configuration, and mobile-responsive design.
Who I Work With
I work best with:
- Small businesses in Northern Virginia, the DC metro area, and the surrounding region that need a real developer — not a template and a drag-and-drop builder
- Startups at the early stage that need a marketing site or MVP built quickly by someone who understands the technical decisions that will matter later
- Professional services firms — lawyers, architects, consultants, healthcare practices — that need a site that builds trust with prospective clients
- Organizations that have outgrown their current site or platform
I don't work well with clients who want the absolute cheapest option, who need to hire a large team, or who need enterprise-scale managed services. If that's what you need, I'll tell you.
Based in Northern Virginia
I'm based in Northern Virginia and work primarily with clients in the DC metro area — Fairfax, Arlington, Reston, McLean, Alexandria, and Washington DC itself. I'm available for in-person meetings when that's useful.
That said, most of my work is remote and I have clients outside the region. Geography doesn't limit what we can build together.

No sales pitch. Just a conversation about what you're building and whether I'm the right fit.
